Ephyrans, the smallest amongst the races of Aesor, are as curious and agile as the many creatures with which they share their jungle home. The colors of an Ephyran's skin and foliage indicate the season during which they first woke to the world, a correlation that some believe even extends to their personalities. Most live in secluded jungle villages, each under its own independent rule, uniting only to heed the Hollow Chant. However, it was not always this way for the Ephyrans.
Near the center of the Great Jungle of Mezataan, encased within a colossal glass dome, lies the fallen metropolis, Ephyr. Only the Keepers, those who carry the knowledge of the catastrophe that brought the once-great civilization to its knees, are permitted to enter its ruins. From its broken halls, they emerge to gather the magical secrets of Aesor for study and safekeeping, desperately hoping to avoid the mistakes of the past and lead the Ephyrans back to their former glory.
