Dice Rolls
System Overview - What's a D20?
The D20 is shorthand for a 20-sided dice. It's been the core of Table Top RPGs since the dawn of their existence. It's a type of dice that has high variance with 1 being the lowest and worst possible roll, and 20 being the best.
What's a Natural 20?
A natural 20, is the ultimate roll and guarantees success in dice-based checks. Conversely a natural 1 guarantees failure.
The Dice System identifies all the relevant modifiers, bonuses, and potential penalties that apply to the roll. Dice Rolls with modifiers that result in 20 are not natural 20s.
