Weapons are the primary means by which players inflict damage in Tales of Aesor, and are classified based on their utility, material, and historical or magical significance. Each weapon type supports various fighting styles and character builds, influencing stats such as damage output, defense, and special abilities.
Each weapon has a base damage range. The base damage ranges scale with the wielder's Power Level. Power Level is the user's Ability Score Modifier plus their Proficiency Bonus. This way, weapons scale as the player progresses in levels.
A weapon inscription is a trait that's tied to the weapon, it can be a stat-boosting effect to help increase ability scores or it can be a conditional effect. These inscriptions like all traits, may have a requirement to become enabled.

Forged and Precision weapons have a basic attack and advanced actions that be used.
Wand and Staff weapons only have a basic attack action and no advanced actions.
Swords, Axes and Blunt weapons can either be one handed or two handed. This depends on the weapon. Two handed variants have higher base damage ranges.
